Early life of Shock G
On August 25, 1963, Shock G was born in Brooklyn, New York. He spent most of his formative years with his family in Florida. His love for music began when he was a young man. He won the ” Most Talented” trophy at Grecot Junior High School when he was a drummer. After his parent’s divorce, he moved to Queens and fell in love with hip-hop.
Two years later, he returned to Florida to work as a DJ with the group Master Blasters. After initial success, he took music seriously and studied music theory at the community college.

Career
After completing his studies, Shock G moved to California and formed the Digital Underground group. There were three members-Shock G, Jimi Chopmaster J, and Kenneth Waters. The group’s hit single, “The Humpty Dance”, reached the top of the charts in 1990.
The group produced both the multi-Platinum album ‘So Many Tears’ and the multi-Platinum single “I Get Around”. In addition to his contribution with Digital Underground,
Shock G has also found success as a solo artist and a music producer. He was part of the production team that co-produced the debut album of Tupac.
The single Risky Business was produced in 2003 for the band Murs, and he’s worked with several people, including Prince. Dre, KRS-One, Luniz, and others are famous.
In addition to being a musician, Shock G has also appeared on television. Live MTV performances include Yo MTV Raps, Club MTV Live, MTV Jams, and
TV appearances such as ‘Showtime at the Apollo’. On April 22, 1991, Shock G was found dead in a hotel room in Florida. The cause of his death is still not known.
