Early life
Shin’s parents were originally from Singapore, and he moved there after being born in Canada. After reaching 11 years old, he and his family moved to the United States. He was interested in learning to play the piano when he was a student at the regional high school. After graduating from Lee University with a double major in telecommunications and piano, Lim went on to work for a telecommunications company.
