Jack Harlow Family background
Jack Harlow is the oldest child in his family. He was born on April 20th, 1995 in Hinds County, Mississippi. His father’s name is James and his mother’s name is Carol. Currently, Jack has two brothers: Riley and Evan; and a sister: Emma (she is also a rapper).
Growing up, he moved to Kentucky because of problems within his family. However, when he turned 15, he went back to Jackson where he met Matt Martin who later became his stepfather.
Education
At first, Jack attended Trinity Christian School in Kentucky; then transferred to Senatobia High School when he returned to Mississippi. Eventually, he stopped going to school at all because of bullying issues that started after the 9/11 attacks.
Career development
Jack started writing some lyrics when he was in the 8th grade and gradually grew to like music more and more. His first song which gained big success and helped him launch his career was “Gang”, which he wrote with his friend Tyshaun Dawson, who is now one of his best friends.
After that, Jack decided to drop out of school and move back to Kentucky. That’s where met Jeremih (the famous singer) and they released a joint mixtape entitled Only On Weekends (2009), which later helped Jack Harlow reach an even bigger audience.
After this, he began working on his own solo material. He released his first mixtape entitled FIVE (2012), and then worked on three more mixtapes: I’m Not a Robot (2015), Back to Back (2016), and Fallout (2018). His best works so far include “Red Roses” with fellow musician Swaghollywood and the song “Honest”.
