Gwen Shamblin Early life
Gwen Shamblin was born on February 18 1955, in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in dietetics. Gwen graduated from Memphis State University with a master’s degree in food and nutrition. After graduating from Memphis State University, where she was a licensed dietician, she worked in the health department for five years.

Gwen Shamblin was married a couple of times. Her first marriage to David Shamblin produced two children, Michael Shamblin and Elizabeth Hannah. David and Gwen were married for 38 years before divorcing in 2018. Gwen and Joe were married in the summer of 2018. There are seven grandchildren for her.
On May 29, 2020, the Remnant Fellowship Church crashed into Percy Priest Lake near Smyrna, Tennessee. The plane crashed shortly after takeoff. In the subject of weight control, she began her consulting practice in 1980. While working on her master’s degree at Memphis State University, she developed the ‘Weight Down Workshop,’ a weight loss program she had in mind. Because of the program’s effectiveness, it extended to other European countries. In 1994, the curriculum was provided in hundreds of churches in at least 35 US states. The program is available in approximately 1000 churches across the United States and areas of the United Kingdom and Canada.
The Remnant Fellowship Church was founded by a woman in 1999. The Shamblin’s expanded the area by purchasing 40 acres of land, and initially, it was a small gathering place. The building and construction project was finished in 2004. Europe, Asia, Africa, Canada, Australia, North America, and South America are just some of the countries that the church now has members from.
