Dustin Poirier is an American mixed martial artist who is currently signed to the UFC organization. He is a former contestant on “The Ultimate Fighter”, and has also fought as a lightweight in other promotions including Ring of Combat, where he was the Lightweight Tournament Winner.

Dustin Poirier made his professional MMA debut on October 10, 2008. After compiling a record of 5-0 in regional promotions, Poirier was selected to appear as a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest, which aired on Spike TV in early 2009. On November 17, 2014, Dustin Poirier took part in the rematch against “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung at The Ultimate Fighter: A Champion Will Be Crowned Finale, replacing an injured Akira Corassani. He won via KO early in the first round.

On September 27, 2015, Dustin Poirier defeated Irish fighter Joseph Duffy by corner stoppage in the second round at UFC Fight Night 76 in Dublin and it was later announced that both fighters would receive a $50,000 bonus for their performance of the night. On December 10, 2015, Dustin Poirier fought former champion and #1 contender, Anthony Pett, in a lightweight title eliminator bout at UFC Fight Night 80.
