Pollack grew up in New Brunswick, which is located in New Jersey. He attended Shiloh High School in his younger years, where he was a prominent athlete on and off the court. Pollack played varsity football basketball and even wrestled during his time at high school, acquiring the title of Defensive Lineman of the Year by the Atlanta Touchdown Club.
After graduating from high school in 2001, Pollack decided to attend the University of Georgia, where he played football for the Bulldogs four seasons under head coach Mark Richt.
