Blac Youngsta (born Sammie Benson on November 18, 1985) is an American rapper and actor from Atlanta, Georgia. He was originally known as Yung Mazi because he made his rapping debut at age 12. In 2015, Blac Youngsta released a number of singles that were featured on DJ Vlad and DJ MLK’s mixtapes such as “Booty Language” and “Respect My Hustle”.
However, it wasn’t until 2016 that he became more mainstream after collaborating with Yo Gotti on the single “Heavy”, the official remix to his song “Law” and rapping in 2 Chainz’s song “Do Too Much”. Both songs were included on Blacsta’s debut commercial mixtape, Tha City, which was released on August 12, 2017.

He grew up in the University Park neighborhood of Atlanta where he spent time with his cousin who is also a rapper called Ghetto Mafia Records. Youngsta started rapping when he was 12 years old but dropped out of school after only two weeks because he felt that “it wasn’t for him”. He later graduated from High School after attending Mercer County Day School Academy in 2008. His debut commercial single “Lil Baby” was released on May 16, 2015.
